                         Deaths
BOWEN--Mrs. Rosa A. Bowen, 82, Route 2, Hiawatha, Kans., died early Friday morning, October 30, 1970 at Maude's Rest Home in Falls City, Nebr., where she had been a patient the last 3 1/2 years. She was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia July 22, 1888, and came with her mother to the United States at the age of 11. They settled in Brown County near Reserve. She was married to David Bowen in 1904 in Hiawatha and Mr. Bowen died in 1909. She is survived by one son, John Bowen of St. Joseph, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. David (Martha) Davies, Route 2, Hiawatha; one brother, Frank Beran of White Cloud; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Monday afternoon, November 2, at the Meek Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Harold Wolf officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery northeast of Hiawatha.
