Bowen.—David Bowen died at his home northeast of Hiawatha Saturday morning, Aug. 14, at 4 o'clock. He had been a sufferer for some time with cancer of the lower lip. Mr. Bowen was about 55 years old. He leaves a wife and two children, one 2½ years old and the other six months old. Mr. Bowen came here from Wales about 20 years ago. The funeral was held at the Mt. Zion church Sunday at 2 o'clock and burial made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
