Mrs. Bankston was born Janurary 4, 1917 in Magee, MS and died August 16, 2003 in South Oaks Living Center in Wisner, LA.

Suvivors include son, Billy Bankston and wife Bobbye of Jackson, LA; daughter, Christine White and husband J. W. of Sicily Island, LA; grandson, Larry White and wife Roxane of Sicily Island, LA; grandson Jimmy White and wife Terri of Avon, CT; granddaughter, Kathy Bankston of Hammond, LA; granddaughter, Vicki Delatte of Tunica, LA; and 7 great grandchildren, Jordan Sucof, Kevin White, Jonathan Delatte, Susan Donnell, Fleeta penton, Dennis Cherry, and Jason Sucof, one sister Leona Kenedy of Jackson, MS.

Mrs. Bankston was preceded in death by her husband, John Milton Bankston, and parents, Doyle Jackson and Olivia Ann Butler.
