Mr. Charley Ross Butler, 79, of Magee died Sunday, December 13, 1987 at Magee General Hospital. Mr. Butler was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer, member of Cohay Lodge No. 574, and Order of Eastern Star No. 187.
Funeral services were held at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 14, 1987 at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Drew Blanton officiating. Burial was at Sharon Cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jewell Butler of Magee; three sons, Charles Butler, Billy Butler and J.D. Butler, all of Magee; three daughters, Mrs. Bertie Kennedy of Magee, Mrs. Dorothy Whitfield and Mrs. Mary Katheryne Yates, both of Jackson; five sisters, Mrs. Georgia Runnels, Mrs. Leona Kennedy, Mrs. Myrtle Runnels, all of Magee, Mrs. Lois Bankston of Jackson, La., Mrs. Rosie Turner of Jackson, Ms.; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
