Surviving are six sisters, Loretta Slightom, Marilyn Loy, and Linda Blake of Greenfield, Anna Mae Roberts of Roodhouse, Alice King of Jerseyville, and Karon Armstrong of Rockbridge; and two brothers, Thurman Loy and Frank Loy of Greenfield. One sister preceded him in death. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Loy was employed as a house painter and carpenter.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield with burial in Kane Cemetery, Kane. Memorial gifts were directed to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
