Frank W. Loy, 57, died Monday morning, Sept. 16, 1996, at his home. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrollton and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed wood carving and gardening. He had been emplyed at Beverly Farms in Godfrey.

A son of the late Alfred and Venia (Reno) Loy, he was born Aug. 23, 1939, in Rockbridge. He married Hilda Wilkins on Dec. 24, 1985, in Lake Tahoe, Nev. She survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters, Lisa Jackson of Jacksonville, Tina Koch and Husband, Randy, of Alhambra, and Julia Loy of Florida; 4 stepsons, Gary Wilkins and wife, Cheryl, Mickey Wilkins and wife, laura, and Ronnie Wilkins and wife, Laura, all of Las Vegas, and Rod Wilkins and wife, Steph, of Gary, Ind.; several grandchildren; a brother, Thurman Loy and wife, Cecile, of Greenfield; and 5 sisters, Anna Roberts and husband, Don, of Roodhouse, Alice King and husband, Jerry, of Jerseyville, Karon Armstrong and husband, Joe, of Rockbridge and Linda Blake and husband, Joe, and Marilyn Loy, both of Greenfield; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Loy and Loretta Slightom, and a brother, Bob Loy.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today at Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield. Services are at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrollton. Burial will be in Kane Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
