Marilyn S. Loy, 79, of Greenfield, IL, died Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Lakeside Health and Rehab Center in Carlinville. IL. She was born April 20, 1944 in Greene County to Alfred and Venia (Reno) Loy.

Surviving are her sisters, Anna Roberts and Linda (Joe) Blake both of Greenfield, IL, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Dorothy, John Thurman, Loretta, Robert, Alice, Frank and Karon.

Marilyn graduated from Greenfield High School in 1962. She coached little league softball and enjoyed playing softball and bowling. She sang in the community choir and was part of twenty-two mission trips in the U.S., and Costa Rica. She was a member of the Greenfield Public Library, ACTS, and the Charity Southern Baptist Church.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:30 am at the Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield, IL. Private family burial will follow at the Kane Cemetery in Kane, IL.

Memorials are suggested to the Greenfield Public Library, Charity Church, ACTS, or the Women on a Mission program at Charity Church.
