Raymond Balmer Dies at Ephrata
Raymond Grumbein Balmer, fifty-seven, 441 S. State St., Ephrata, died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. yesterday at the Ephrata Community Hospital of a heart attack. He was in good health until about six weeks ago when stricken with his first attack.

Born in Warwick Twp., he was a son of the late Allen B. and Mary E. Grumbein Balmer and resided in the Ephrata area most of his life. He was employed by the Sico Co., Mount Joy, for the past 28 years and operated a gasoline truck in Ephrata and vicinity.

He was a member of the EPhrata Church of the Brethren, the Men's Bible Class of the church, and the Ephrata Sportsmen's Club.

In addition to his wife, the former Florence L. Dickersheid, he is survived by these step-children: Elsie, wife of Lloyd Diem, Lititz; Irene, wife of Robert Risser, Lincoln; Florence, wife of Hiram Bollinger, Jr., Quarryville; Leon Zimmerman, Pottstown; Leonard Zimmerman, Intercourse; Lester Zimmerman, Clay, and Charles Zimmerman, Reinholds RD.

Fourteen step-grandchildren and these sisters and brothers also survive: Mabel, wife of Christ High, and Anna Mary, wife of Ben Forney, both of Rothsville; Abraham G. Balmer, Myerstown; Henry G. Balmer, Lampeter, and Allen G. Balmer, Lititz.
