4 March 1965: Abram Balmer, 67, a Myerstown RD 2 farmer, died unexpectedly Wednesday night at his home. Balmer was a member of the Heidelburg Church of the Brethren. A native of Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Allen and Mary Grumbine Balmer. Surviving are his wife, the former Hilda Zug; three sons, Kenneth, Telford; Vernon, Myerstown RD 2, and Everett, Schaefferstown; five grandchildren; two brothers, Allen, Lititz RD 4, and Henry, Lampeter, and one sister, Mrs. Benjamin Forney, Rothville.
