"Allen Balmer, 91, resident of Lititz
Allen G. Balmer, 91, of 3001 Lititz Pike, formerly of Millway Road, Lititz, died Thursday evening at Brethren Village. He had been under a doctor's care.

Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late Allen and Mary Grumbine Balmer. He was the husband of Esther S. Graybill Balmer, who died in 1988.

He was a farmer from 1927 to his retirement in 1955. A member of Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, he was church deacon for over 50 years and was the former church treasurer.

Survivors include a nephew who he and his wife raised, Cletus A. Balmer of Manheim; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren."
