Excerpted from "The Pierre Gerardy Family in America" by Evelyn Potter Park, 1979:

Albert Gerardy grew to manhood near Fact, Kansas. He was married on December 5, 1906, at Fact, Kansas, to Nellie Dicks. They attended the United Brethren Church at Fact. After the death of his parents he and his brother, Frank, continued to farm the home place. In 1916 he and Nellie and their daughter, Rachel, moved to a farm near Vliets, Kansas, where they lived until he died. They both joined the Vliets Methodist Church. After Albert's death his wife, Nellie, moved to Frankfort, Kansas, in August, 1936. Their daughter, Rachel, and her husband, Wayne Warnica, moved to the farm.

From Albert's obituary: "Mr. Gerardy made many friends, and was a kind and faithful husband, father, and neighbor. He built and improved his nice country home to make comforts for his family and now he has gone to await their coming. Mr. Gerardy was for many years a diligent worker for the Farmer's Union, being president for some time. For six years he was clerk of Lincoln Township and was also treasurer of his local school district, Fairview Dist . 11. He was always working for the betterment of the community and will be greatly missed."

Albert and Nellie had one daughter, Rachel Caroline Gerardy.
