Born in Imboden, she was a life-time resident of Lawrence County. She was a housewife and member of the Assembly of God Church for more than 70 years.
Survivors include one son, Charles Carter of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Ellen Mayberry of Walnut Ridge, Mrs. Patricia Farris of Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Florence Lovelady of Ravenden; five sisters, Mrs. Viola Holder of Pocahontas, Mrs. Ida Holder of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Ina Foster and Mrs. Virgie McCarroll both of Black Rock and Mrs. Johnnie Avarez of Portia; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 2 at the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Minister will be Brother Vernia Harris. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park.
