Lutena Fawn Hedrick. a home-maker who had lived in Seaside for the past 50 years, died Monday at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula after a brief illness She was 85.

She was born in Macy, Ind. on May 3, 1903.

Mrs. Hedrick is survived by a sister. Bernice Mead of Seaside; two sons, George of Lompoc and Robert of San Luis Obispo; a daughter, Mary Priest of Houston, Texas; and 14-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. today in the El Estereo Chapel of Mission Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Monterey City Cemetery. [The Herald, Thursday May 26, 1988, page 4, transcribed by Gary Carlsen]
