Mrs. Lizzie Black
Mrs. Lizzie Black, died on Monday, March 5, 1951, at 12:50 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert B. Clark, 1120 Pennsylvania Avenue, South Huntingdon, where she had made her home for the past ten years.
She was born on December 19, 1863, in Morris Township, Huntingdon County, the daughter of Enoch and Catherine (Shaffer) Isenberg.
On November 10, 1892, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Black at Boalsburg. Her husband preceded her in death.
Mrs. Black was educated in the public schools of Catherine Township, Blair County, and was a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are the following children: Freda (Mrs. R. H. Tussey) of Altoona, Ethel (Mrs. A. E. Harnish) of Alexandria, Mildred (Mrs. A. B. McCall) Of Huntingdon, R. D. 3, and Catharine (Mrs. R. S. Clark) of South Huntingdon. One brother, Porter G. Isenberg of Williamsburg, R. D. and two sister, Misses Dorothy and Grace Isenberg of Hollidaysburg, along with ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, also survive. One son, Norman E. Black, preceded his mother in death in February, 1951.
Funeral services will be held at the Bechtel funeral home in Huntingdon on Thursday at 2:30 p. m. with the Rev. Kenneth L. Duncan officiating. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home.
