Freda B. Tussey

Freda B. Tussey, 94, a guest of the Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg, formerly of Altoona, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1987, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, following a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 28, 1893, in Porter Township, Huntingdon county, the daughter of Frank and Lizzie (Isenberg) Black. She was united in marriage to Raymond H. Tussey March 9, 1917, in Irwin. He preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1961.
Surviving are two sisters: Mildred McCall of Huntingdon and Catherine Clark of Wilmington, Del.
Mrs. Tussey was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Altoona, where she directed the chancel choir for 20 years. She was a retired elementary school teacher from the Logan Area School District. A graduate of Juniata College, she received graduate degrees in music from Grove City College and Penn State University.
Funeral services were held Nov. 29 in Hollidaysburg and interment was made in the Keller Reformed Church Cemetery, Alexandria, R.D.
