A lifelong resident of Canoe Valley and widow of Enoch Isenberg, died at the home at Yellow Springs farm, in Canoe valley, this morning at 1:30 o'clock, death being due to diseases incident to old age. She was born at Water Steet, Huntingdon county, Aug. 27, 1836, the daughter of Peter and Mrs. Elizabeth Shaffer. On Feb. 19, 1862, she was united in marriage with Enoch Isenberg, and to this union nine children were born, eight of whom survive as follows: Mrs. F. L. Black of Alexandria; Porter Isenberg of Blairfour; Calvin, Asa, Dollie, Grace and Lynn, at home, and Mrs. C. R. Keller of Hollidaysburg. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by these sisters: Mrs. Sarah Piper of McKeesport, Mrs. Dollie Hammond of Kansas, and Mrs. Annie Breeneman of Saxton. She was a lifelong and consistent member of the Keller Reformed church in Canoe valley. Funeral services will be conducted in the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Dr. F. A. Rupley of Lewistown. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery at Yellow Springs. Friends are asked to kindly omit flowers.

Catharine was predeceased by her husband Enoch in 1906, a daughter Ella Isenberg Gardner in 1920 and by brothers: Joseph and William H Shaffer and sisters: Margaret Shaffer Isenberg in 1899, Rachel Shaffer Beck in 1923, and by a sister Mary.
