Robert Leicht, Continental official, dead
Robert Lee leicht, 51, 5004 Council Ring Blvd., died at 3:25 a.m. Monday of an apparent heart attack shortly after arrival at Howard Community Hospital.
Born March 22, 1922, in Kokomo, he was the son of Sylvester and Marie (Reitz) Leicht. He was married in 1968 to Margarite Riley, who survives.
He was a superintendent of mechanical maintence at Continental Steel Corp. He was appointed to that position in November, 1972, after serving as general foreman of the steel division-mechanical. He had held several production foreman positions.
He was a graduate of International Correspondence School mechanical engineering program.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a veteran of World War II.
Also surviving are the mother of New London; three daughters, Mrs. Ronnie (Sondra)Sedberry of Tuscon, Ariz., Mrs. Michael A. (Linda)Boldry of Rodchester and Miss Susan Leicht of Kokomo; two sons, Robert J. Leicht of Kokomo; and William R. Leicht of Lexington, Ky.; a step-son, Jimmie Daugherty of Wise, Va.; a brother, Arthur Leicht of Gilbert, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. William (Virginia) Glover of Kokomo and ten grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Fenn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Babcock officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
