November 22, 1952 - January 31, 2018
Susan Jane Bohmer, 65, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 31st in Kokomo, following a long battle with cancer. She was born on November 22, 1952 to the late Robert and Betty Jane Leicht in Kokomo.
Susan graduated with the class of 1971 from Taylor High School. She had several different work experiences, but primarily worked as a pharmacy technician at Herbst Pharmacy in Kokomo.
On March 24, 2002, Susan was married to David Bohmer in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and he survives.She and David were members of Chapel Hill Christian Church in Kokomo. Susan enjoyed antiquing and going to garage sales. She was an avid collector of several items including Barbie doll accessories and Thomas Kincaide pictures. She also enjoyed going into vintage homes and observing the architecture. Susan also loved to travel, her favorite places to visit were Chicago and New York City. She loved dogs and most of all, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, David, Susan is survived by her daughters, Ashlie (Bruce) Dittfield and Amy (Cory) Rife; stepdaughters, Ashley Bohmer and Shelby Bohmer; siblings, Sandy Sedberry, Robert Leicht, and Linda Boldry; grandchildren, Derek Dittfield, Trace Dittfield, Brady Dittfield, Lian Richardson, Jake Robert, Ryder Richardson, Brynlee Rife, and Cayden Rife; best friend, Terry Walter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, William Leicht.
There will be a public visitation for Susan at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3rd from 12-2 pm, with a funeral service immediately following at 2. Susan will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery at a later date.
Susan's family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society .
