He was employed as a warehouse supervisor for Sears Warehousing in Hagerstown and later in Bladensburg, Md., retiring in 1991 after 40 years. He played in organized baseball leagues in the Hagerstown area in the 1940s.
He is survived by a half-brother, Preston Crampton of Boonsboro; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin L. Brashears, Donald S. Brashears and James L. Brashears.
Services were held in the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
