Blanche was the daughter of Miles Causey and Nannie (Varner) Lamb. She married Tallie Waver Smith and they were the parents of two children: Inez Maebelle, Tal Douglas 'Dick'.

MRS. BLANCHE SMITH

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Blanche Lamb Smith, 82, of 909 Gorrell St. died Monday in Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rich & Thompson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County and a member of West Burlington United Methodist Church.
Survivors are husband, Tallie W. Smith; daughter, Mrs. Inez Blalock of Greensboro; son, Tal D. Smith of Southern Pines; sisters, Mrs. Allie Seawell and Mrs. Richard Stanley of Greensboro; brothers, James (Sheepy) Lamb ad Paul B. Lamb of Greensboro; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made to the research department of Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
