HYMERA - William C. Thomas, 78, of Spring Hill, Fla., and formerly of Hymera died Saturday in a Brooksville, Fla., nursing home. He retired as truck driver at Bringwald Trucking Co. at Terre Haute. He was born June 29, 1907, in Westville, Ill., to Frank Thomas and Lillie Etchison Thomas. Survivors include his wife, Mary Grace Knapp Thomas; one sister, Odessa Sandlin of Spring Hill; and several nieces and nephews. he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Shelburn Masonic Lodge, Spring Hill Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10209 and Spring Hill First Baptist Church. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the church, with the Rev. William Byrd Jr. officiating. Burial is in Florida Hills Memorial Gardens at Spring Hill. Turner Funeral Home Spring Hill Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
