Services for Reuben "Rube" Thomas, 84, 1616 S. 25th St., who died Thursday night in Union Hospital, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home, the Rev. Brent Harden officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. He was a member of Teamsters Local 144, International Moulders and Allied Workers Local 265 and Terre Haute Eagles Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mabel; four daughters, Charlette Smith and Marjorie Hyde, both of Terre Haute, Carolyn Willan, Indianapolis, and Shirley Mason, Joliet, Ill.; a son, Jack, Joliet; a brother, William, Spring Hill, Fla.; a sister, Odessa Sandlin, Spring Hill, Fla.; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Sunday.
