Max Arthur Hayes was the son of Edward H. & Celia Robertson-Hayes. He attended school in Owosso, Michigan and graduated in 1931. He resided all of his life in the Owosso area. He was first married to Roberta Hale in 1932 she died in 1959. He then married Opha Viers in 1960. He retired from Buick in 1973. He was a former Mason and was a member of the Knights of Pythias. He died of congestive heart failure. He had been ill from a previous heart condition.
