Mrs. Hayes was born to Pratt and Lurilla (Waters) Robertson in Columbus Grove, Ohio. She came to Owosso as a small child. She married Edward H. Hayes August 7, 1906. She was a member of the First Church of Christ for many years. She and Edward celebrated 60-years of marriage in 1966, the year before his death. She died on a Wednesday evening March 3, at Memorial Hospital. Her death was attributed to a stroke. Funeral services were held two days later at the Jennings-lyons Chapel on March 5, 1970.
