Earnest Everett Barnes, 82, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011.
Born April 21, 1928, he is the son of the late Ollie and Martha Lou Brooks Barnes. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Lee and George and two sisters, Dorothy Corbin and Audrey Turner.
Mr. Barnes leaves two sons: Michael Barnes and Sherry and Rodney Barnes;
Two daughters: Beverly Westbrooks and Billie and Anita Vogler and Gary;
Eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;
Two brothers: Cecil Barnes and Chester Barnes.
Funeral services for Mr. Barnes were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at the Grant Memorial Chapel in Grant, Ala., with Bro. Anthony Barnes officiating.
Burial was at the New Prospect Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billie Westbrooks, Travis Westbrooks, Benji Barnes, Trent Johnson, Jared Morrison, Robert Patterson, Sr., Robert Patterson, Jr., and John Robert Satterfield.
