Born September 25, 1915, in Portia, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Ollie Barnes and Martha Louann Brooks Barnes. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Roy Barnes and George Barnes; and one sister, Dorothy Corbin.
Audrey was united in marriage to Morris Turner on February 21, 1937, in Steele.
She was retired from Peoples Bank in Grand Haven, Mich., as supervisor of Bookkeeping.
Mrs. Turner leaves one son, Edwin Turner and his wife Jo, of Cross Plains, Mich; Three grandchildren: Michael Turner of Mt. View, Calif., Petty Officer David Turner of Goose Creek, S.C., and Sarah Turner of Cross Plains; Three brothers: Cecil Barnes and Chester Barnes of Steele, and Everett Barnes of Scottsboro, Ala.
Graveside services for Mrs. Turner were held Wednesday, February 5, at 10:00 a.m., at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Mr. Bill Lovelace officiating. John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of services.
Pallbearers were Howard Burns, Jim Whitehead, Neal Bibbons, Randy McDaniel, Willie D. McDaniel and Merlyn Bishop.
