Mrs. Hannah Miller, widow of the late Albert R. Miller, passed away at her home on West Main street at about 10:45 Thursday evening of last week, Feb. 20, 1930 following a three months illness with heart disease. Hannah Parpart Miller was born in Germany, June 25, 1865, and at the age of two years was brought to America by her parents. They came directly to Edford commlunity. She was married to Albert R. Miller in Edford on March 15, 1883. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Miller resided in Edford township where by hard work and economy they accumulated money and purchased some of the best farms in that locality. The late Mr. Miller was one of the founders of St. Peter's Evangelical church in Edford and both he and his wife gave liberally of their time and money toward its welfare. Following their removal to this city about ten years ago, they continued to be faithful to this church. Deceased was of a very kindly and friendly disposition. She was not only highly respected in Edford community where she resided for so many years, but also in Geneseo, where during her years of residence she won many friends. Her death is mourned by a host of relatives and friends. Surviving are four sons, Will of Osco township, Robert of Edford township, Elmer, at home and Lawrence of New York City; three daughters, Miss Mary who has been at home caring for her parents; Mrs Theresa Shipman, of York, Nebr., and Mrs. Walter Hintz of Edford township. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Augusta Krueger. of this city and seven grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gust Parpart, and a sister, Mrs. Leopol d Miller. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 at the Edford church, Rev. John Dipple, officiating. The choir of the church furnished musical numbers. Interment was in Edford cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Harry Miller, Julius Pobanz, Rudolph Miller, Otto Miller and Albert Krueger, of Geneseo, and Walter Borst, of Rock Island.
