Miss Mary L. Miller, 86, of 315 South Oakwood avenue, Geneseo, a life resident of the area, died Sunday evening, March 30, in the Hammond-Henry hospital, Geneseo. She was born September 14, 1888, in Edford township, the daughter of Albert and Johanna Parpart Miller.

Miss Miller formerly was a receptionist at the Myers funeral home. She was a member of St.Peter's United Church of Christ and the Women's Guild of the church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Walter Hintz of Geneseo and three brothers, Robert and Lawrence Miller, both of Geneseo, and Elmer Miller of East Moline.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, April 2, in St. Peter's United Church of Christ with the Rev. E. A. Schmidt, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Robert Benningfield as soloist and Mrs. Norma Miller, organist. Pallbearers were Dennis, Scott, Robert, and Steve Shipman, Craig Miller and Lanny Hintz. Burial was in Edford township cemetery.
