MORRISDALE - Boyd V. Rothrock, 90, of Morrisdale died Monday, June 24, 2002, at his daughter's residence in Morrisdale.
Born Oct. 26, 1911, in Morrisdale RD, he was a son of Curtin and Susan (Smeal) Rothrock.
Mr. Rothrock was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport. He was a coal miner and a carpenter.
He is survived by two daughters, Sara Kassab and her husband, Edward, of Bellwood and Susan Straka and her husband, Michael, of Morrisdale.
Also survivng are three grandchildren, Edwards V. and Curtis M. Kassab of Richmond, Va., and Michael T. Straka of Morrisdale; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Rothrock was the last of his generation.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene L. Hubler Rothrock, on Feb. 27, 1992; seven sisters, Dorothy Green, Olive Hipps, Grace Shearer, Maude Fishburn-Ellinger, Alice Rothrock, Carrie Fleck and Margaret Tiedgon and five brothers, Edward, Howard, Roy, Jake and Orvis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Chapel of Strange and Weaver Home for Funerals, Morrisdale, with the Rev. H. Aden Wertz officiating.
Interment will be at Centre Hill United Methodist Cemetery, Morrisdale.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the hour of services tomorrow at the funeral home.
