Mrs. Olive V. Hipps, 221 Reed St., Clearfield, wife of Carl Hipps, died yesterday morning in the Clearfield Hospital. She was 61.
A daughter of the late Curtin and Sara (Smeal) Rothrock, she was born at Center Hill (Graham Township) July 27, 1904.
Mrs. Hipps had operated a grocery store on Reed Street for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Bradford Grange No. 1219, the Clearfield EUB Church and the Faithful Daughters Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her husband and these children: Thomas R., at home; Mrs. Kathleen Ebbers and Richard C., both of Colton, Calif., Mrs. Beryl Ross, Rialto, Calif., Mrs. Beryl Ross, Rialto, Calif.; Mrs. Susan Richards, San Bernadino, Calif.; and Mrs. Jean Wall, Clearfield; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She also leaves these brothers and sisters: Boyd Rothrock, Center Hill; Edward Rothrock, Clearfield R.D.; Mrs. Grace Shearer and Mrs. Edna Keenan, both of Clearfield; Mrs. Dorothy Green and Mrs. Maude Ellinger, both of Erie.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Bennett Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Bishop officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received in the funeral home after 7 p.m. tomorrow and until the hour of services Friday morning.
Bradford Grange memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
