Robert S. Isenberg of Martinsburg dies In Hospital In Florida
Robert S. Isenberg, a merchant and a prominent resident of Martinsburg, died Tuesday evening at a hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., following an operation. The remains were brought north and last evening passed through the city on the way to the late home of the deceased at Martinsburg.
Mr. Isenberg for some time had been in ill health and about a month ago, accompanied by his wife, went south. His condition, however, grew worse and an operation was performed in the hopes of saving his life.
The deceased was aged about 65 years. He was the son of John and Mary Isenberg and was born at Cove Forge, near Williamsburg. He has been a resident of Martinsburg for a number of years and was engaged in the hardware business. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Emerson, and the following brothers and sisters: Joseph, Albert and Lewis Isenberg, Seymour Isenberg of Cove Forge, Mrs. Minnie Ackers and Alice Isenberg of Martinsburg and Mrs. Lucy Brantner of Spring Meadows.
The funeral will be held Monday forenoon at 10 o'clock with services at Martinsburg.
