Trudy was a healthy four year old, just playing in the yard. She accidently fell, hitting her head on a cast iron wood stove door. The door was used to hold water for the chickens. She developed a "spinal meningitis" type symptom that caused her death in a few short days.
She was survived by her parents and all of her siblings.
After her daughter's death, Vadie Mangrum lost interest in almost everthing. Vadie died of pneumonia only four months later.
Trudy's sister, who is also my great grandmother, Myrtis Mangrum, told this to my grandfather, Jim Edwards.
