Arlie Jane Hansen Nelson, 90, passed away on December 14, 2011 at The Villa in Roosevelt, Utah.
She was born May 26, 1921 in Fillmore, Utah to Lars Hansen and Albie Nichols Hansen.
She married Wallace Oliver Nelson on August 18, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple on September 18, 1996.
Arlie is survived by her three children, Evan M. (Jean) Hansen of Payson, Utah; Wally Jr. (Omah) Nelson of Fruitland, and Eddie G. (Linda) Nelson of South Jordan. She has nine grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Betty and Laura. Arlie was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Terri Lynn, five great-grandsons, her parents, two sisters, Meryl and Leah; and brother, Lars Jay.
Funeral services will be held in the South Jordan Seventh Ward Chapel, 11473 South Chapel Ridge Drive (1080 West), on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah, and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
