Parkersburg - Clarence "Bud" A. Card, 78, of Marshalltown, formerly of Parkersburg, died Thursday, Dec. 17, at Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, of natural causes; survivors include his wife, Gloria; four sons, John of Cedar Rapids, Allen of Austinville, Paul of Marshalltown and Floyd of Waterloo; two step grandchildren a step great-granddaughter; a sister, Jeanette Hook of Vinton; and a brother, Glenn of Shell Rock; he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Donna Mae; and a brother, William "Bill"; services will be 1:30 p.m.
Monday at Schwartz Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, both in Parkersburg; friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home; Mr. Card was a U.S. Air Corps veteran of World War II. He farmed in the New Hartford and Parkersburg area, and for 26 years drove a truck for the New Hartford and Parkersburg grain elevators, retiring in 1985.
