Walter L. Criswell, 91, of Marshall, died Sunday, Dec 30, 1990 at the Saline County Rest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, Jan 2, 1991 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, Mo. Rev Kenneth Hull will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorail Gardens Cemetery in Trenton. Friends may call Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Criswell, Lance Criswell, Troy Criswell, Olen Dale Criswell, Robert Scott and Scott Langlotz.

Born July 15, 1889. in Trenton, Missouri, he was the son of the late Marcus L. and Alice C. Criswell. On May 3 1918, he married Grace Mae Brown, who preceded him in death on February 4 1989. He was a member of Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton. He retired after working 40 years for the Rock Island Railroad. He lived in Marshall the last 13 years, moving from Trenton.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph O. Criswell, and his wife, E. Frances and Lewis F. Criswell, and his wife Frances W, of Marshall, a daughter Lois C. Scott of Marshall; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and a sister, Dora Newkirk of Whittier, California. He was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and a grandaughter.
