Aliene was born in Crockett County, Tennessee prior to the family moving to Oklahoma. She married David Calender Ragland on April 21, 1923 in Halls. She worked in a dry goods store and as a bookkeeper. She and David had no children. David died in an accidental drowning in 1938 and she never remarried. Later in life she had serious health problems that kept her homebound for years. She died in Halls in 1980.
