STRAWN-The funeral Mass of Loretta E. Benway Wiesinger, 83 of 398 Vista Baya, Newport Beach, Calif., formerly of Strawn, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Strawn. Father Scott Archer will officiate. Buriel will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Strawn. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hager Memorial Home, Forrest.
She died Sunday (Feb. 9, 2003) at Newport Beach.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Feb. 25, 1919 in Strawn, a daughter of Albert J. and Anna C. Rudolph Benway. She married Rudolph Wiesinger May 12, 1945, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Chicago. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Don (Linda) Wiesinger, O'Fallon, Mo., and Rudy (Barbara) Wiesinger, Newport Beach; two sisters, Ann Rebolz, Chatsworth, and Hellen Kelly, Ottawa; four brothers, William Benway, Gibson City; Weldon Benway, Strawn; Keith Benway, Sibley; and Paul Benway, Anchor; four grandchildren, Amy Lockwood, Elise Wiesinger; Paul Wiesinger and Sandra Braden; and one great-grandchild, Chase Braden.
Her parents, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
She was a retired homemaker.
She was affiliated with the Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Strawn Community High School, Class of 1936.
