CHATSWORTH -- The funeral of Geraldine Rebholz, 81 of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Chatsworth, a retired school teacher, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Chatsworth. The Rev. Charles P. Robards will officate.
Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery in Strawn.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
She died at 11:40 a.m. Monday (Jan. 25, 1995) at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Bradenton.
Mrs. Rebholz was born Feb. 28, 1913 at Strawn, a daughter of Albert and Anna Rudolph Benway. She married Francis Rebholz June 21, 1941, at Strawn. He survives.
Other survivors include four sisters, Laverne Kurtenbach and Gloria Ann Rebholz, both of Chatsworth; Helen Kelly, Washburn and Loretta Wiesinger, Newport Beach, Calif.; and five brothers, William, Jerome and Weldon Benway, all of Strawn; Paul Benway, Anchor; and Keith Benway, Sibley.
One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rebholz was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Chatsworth where she was a member of its Rosary Society and a former CCD teacher.
A graduate of Stawn High School, Mrs. Rebhoz attended Illinois State Normal Univesity and taught in public schools for 35 years.
She was a member of the Retired Teaches Association of Illinois and a former St. Vincent de Paul Society volunteer in Florida
Memorials may be made to the church's steeple fund.
