H. Keith Benway, 83, of Sibley died at 9 p.m. Sunday (June 2, 2013) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

He was born Aug. 23, 1929 in Strawn, a son of Albert Joseph and Anna Katherine Rudolph Benway. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Joe, Jerome, Bill, Paul and Weldon and five sisters, Josephine Marlin, Geraldine Rebholz, Helen Kelley, Laverne Kurtenbach and Loretta Wissinger.

He married Sharon Lee Walters on May 23, 1953 in Sibley. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Yvonne Donalson; a son, Ronald Benway; four grandchildren, Regina Lewis, Christifer and Daniel Schlattman and Michael Benway; three great-grandchildren, Dustin, Daniel and Abigail and his sister, Gloria Rebholz.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
