Bridget is the daughter of Felix Murphy born in Ireland and Agnes McKennay born in Scotland. She married Thomas F. Cassidy in Rutherglen, Lanark, Scotland, 11-30-1871, had two sons and immigrated to N.Y. on the U.S.S. Utopia on July 1875 with her husband Thomas. Thomas came to America to get employment in the coal mines. Bridget had ten children, four sons and six daughters. Bridget was a member of St. Vincent Depaul Church, in Plymouth, PA., and was a member of its Temperance Society called W.C.A.U. In the early 1900's they purchase a home on Howard Street, Larksville, Pa. Thomas had a heart attack in the Loree Number 3 mine in Larksville, shortly after finishing his lunch, they found him dead in 1925. Bridget was visiting her daughter Theresa Jones in Collingsdale, Delaware County, PA., became ill and died as a result of it, she died in her daughters home. Bridget was returned home and buried in St. Vincent Depaul Cemetery, in Larksville, PA. During this same time my Aunt was being baptized in 1930 at the family home on Howard Street.
