Mrs. William Toner of State street Larksville, She was aged 63, died early yesterday morning March 26, 1917 after a protracted illness.

Mrs. Toner was born 1845 in Ireland (conflict - some records show she was born or lived in Lanark County, Scotland), Agnes was the daughter of Felix Murphy and Agnes McKinney, and came to this country many years ago on 12-17-1869 arriving in the port of New York, along with her daughter Ellen whom at this time was only nine months old. Her husband Tom had already arrived to establish employment as a coal miner, and found them a place to live. When they immigrated here they previously were residing in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, Scotland, it is here where they were married, I am not positive if she was born here or in Ireland. Thomas and Agnes had settled in Plymouth Township now know as Larksville here she resided for many years, her sisters and brothers had also immigrated and settled here. This is where she grew in the friendship of her neighbors and the community.
