Kenneth Ford Barnard 73,of New Boston, Texas died Saturday, October 16,2004 in a Texarkana hospital. Mr. Barnard was born August 16,1931 in Newton County, Ark. He was a foreman for Bowie County Pct. 3 and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, New Boston. He was preceaded in death by one grandson, Robbie Hancock. Survivors include his wife, Velma Barnard of New Boston; four daughters, Debbie Daley and Linda Parker of New Boston; Rose Helms of Maud, Texas; and Jeannie Freeman of Redwater, Texas; four brothers, Ed Barnard of Rogers, Ark; J.W. Barnard of Sligmon, Mo.; Reese Barnard of Blue Springs, Mo; and Gene Barnard of Hinesville, Ark; two sisters, Hazel Murphy of New Boston;and Lavada Simmons of Springdale, Ark; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Tropp officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery, Simms, Texas,under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 -p.m. today at the funeral home.
