John William Barnard, 71, of Seligman, Mo., died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at his son's home in Rogers, Ark. He was born Dec. 2, 1941, in Shiloh in Newton County, Ark., the son of Corby and Leota Reynolds Barnard.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

John is survived by one son, Jason Barnard of Rogers; two daughters, Jamie Smith of Rogers, and Delita Timmons and her husband, Doug, of Springdale; three brothers, Edward Barnard and his wife, Alta, of Rogers, Reece Barnard and his wife, Loretta, of Blue Springs, Mo., and Gene Barnard and his wife, Sandra, of Hindsville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, May 27, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery in Newton County, Ark., with Bill Williams officiating.
