Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Sullivan Kirkley, 80, of Minden will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday Sept. 6, 2008, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Minden with the Rev. Marshall Morris, Pastor of Lakeland Baptist Church Humble, Texas officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Sept. 5 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kirkley was born June 4, 1928, to Garrett Sullivan and Lillian Sims Sullivan. She entered into rest Aug. 30, 2008, in Tomball, Texas. She was a member of Louette Road Baptist Church where Mark Sostarich was her pastor. Before moving to Houston, Frances was a former member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Hebert.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Henry Franklin Kirkley, Jr.; two brothers, James and H.G. Sullivan; and two sisters, Elvie McGee and Gladys Vanden Kooy.

Mrs. Kirkley is survived by son, James H. Kirkley of La., daughters, Ginger Lindeburg and husband Dale of Spring, Texas, Nila Davis and husband Bruce of Spring; two brothers, Ivy Sullivan and wife, Pearl Alice of Rayville, John L. Sullivan and wife Lillian of Denham Springs; three sisters, Ann Dungan and husband Pat of Baton Rouge, Mary Taylor and husband Dick of Rayville, and Beatrice Williams and husband Sam of Denham Springs; grandsons, Kirk Childers and wife Anna, Daniel Davis, Michael Davis and wife Jillian, Bradley Davis, James Kirkley, and Brian Kirkley; great-granddaughters; Nila Paige Kirkley, Taylor Elizabeth Childers, and Lillian Aarestrup Davis; great-grandsons, Tyler Colin and Cole Patrick Childers, and Lucian Aarestrup Davis.

Pallbearers will be her six grandsons.
