LAGRANGE, Ga. - William Young Jones, 76, of 306 Wall Subdivision in LaGrange, died Thursday at City-County Hospital.
Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in LaGrange with burial in Restlawn Memory Gardens, according to Boykin and Fling Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born in Randolph County, Ala., on July 29, 1898. He was a retired textile employee and had lived in LaGrange for the past 30 years.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Ertis Moore of LaGrange, and Mrs. Mertis Phillips and Mrs. Diane Bailey, both of West Point; seven sons, David Jones, Roanoke, Ala., Winnon Jones, Ohatchie, Ala., James R. Jones, Thomaston, Frank Jones and John Jones, both of West Point, and Charlie Jones and Willard Jones, both of LaGrange; two sisters, Mrs. Cassie Pauley, Wedowee, Ala., and Mrs. Tessie Akery, Edison, Calif.; two brothers, Albert Jones, Ohatchie, Ala., and Lee Jones, Delta, Ala.; 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
