(NEWELL) Funeral services for Cassie Mae Pauley, 87, of Newell will be Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Freddie Whitley and the Rev. Roger Nolan officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Pauley died Monday, Feb. 2, at Randolph County Hospital after an extended illness.
Survivors include one daughter, Florence Mitchell of Roanoke; two sons, Howard Pauley and Gwen Pauley of Newell; one sister, Tessie Akery of California; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pauley was born Sept. 6, 1910; she was the daughter of Lucious Jones and Lizzie Belle Hallmark, in Randolph County. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Baptist Church.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home, Wedowee, until one hour prior to services on Wednesday. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour.
