Elmer Jaquet passed away in his home in Tampico, IL about midnight in Tampico, IL where he had resided for about four years, moving from Hahnaman. He suffered a stroke four months prior to his death. Prior to his last illness he had been employed at the Farmer's Elevator.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by J. Cundiff Weir, pastor.

Elmer was born to Henry and Emeline Sand Jaquet February 26, 1879 at Yorktown, ILL. and passed away Oct. 7, 1928 at the age of 49 years, 6 months, and 10 days. He married Francis Olive Whipple on 12 Aug 1900 in New Bedford, IL. The first five years of his married life was spent in Wyanet, then he moved near Hahnamon then Tampico.

He was survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. Howard of St. Louis, Mo., and Delbert, Irene and Edna at home and two grand children. He was survived by four brothers, George of Tampico, Jesse of Rock Falls, Clarence of Annawan, Floyd of Williamsfield; three sisters, Mrs. George (Hannah) Whipple of Thomas, Mrs. Florence Bechdolt of Deer Grove, Mrs. Lottie Blythe of Wyanet. Several nieces and nephews and other relatives survive.

NOTE - He fell from either the elevator or water tower when he suffered his stroke. Family stories mention both.
