Another old resident and neighbor has fallen; Mrs. Sarah E. Barrett of Union township died at her home April 9, 1892. She had been an almost constant sufferer from that terrible disease, consumption, for several years. She leaves a large family of children and other relatives, with many friends to mourn her departure. She lived a consistent christian life, and gave abundant evidence of her preparation for death. The funeral was held at the school house near her home, and the remains were interred in the Union Valley cemetery.
