Rich Hill Mining Review, Rich Hill, Missouri, Thursday, July 10, 1930 - "Mrs. Lucia L. Murdock, 75 years old, passed away at the home on East Olive street at 4:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, July 8, after a lingering illness. She was a devout member of the Latter Day Saints church, and a woman highly esteemed in the community. Surviving are: a son Ralph Murdock, a daughter Mrs. May Black of the home; two sisters Mrs. W.F. Perry, of Rich Hill, and Mrs. W.W. Gould of Independence, Mo., two brothers, A.W. Whiting of Independence, and Lester Whiting of Battle Creek, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 2 0'clock Wednesday afternoon from the L.D.S. church, conducted by Elder Chase. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery near Butler."
