Mr. Whiting was baptized June 22, 1892, at Clitherall, by I. N. Roberts. He was ordained a teacher in 1899, and an elder Oct. 9, 1927, at Independence. Was an active worker and minister in Second Church District, Independence.
D. at the Independence Sanitarium, August 27, 1937, and his funeral was held from Second Church, Aug. 29, his son, Evangelist Ray Whiting preaching the sermon, assisted by Elder A. K. Dillee. Interment was in Mound Grove Cemetery.
